Spider Lake Local Government

Town of Spider Lkake direction signThe Town of Spider Lake is governed by an elected 5 member Board of Supervisors. Two year terms are staggered.    The town also elects a Town Clerk and Treasurer.  The town has a Plan and Review Commission that deals with planning and zoning issues. Contact information for all elected officials and the Town Assessor is listed on the contact page.  Contact information for certain appointed officials, including the Fire Chief, and Zoning Administrator are listed on the pages dealing with those services.

Official notices are posted at Town Hall and two other locations in town. One is located on State Highway 77 near the entrance to Boulder Lodge and the other is near the intersection of Murphy and Clear Lake Roads at the entrance to the Spider Lake Golf Resort.  Official publications are placed in the Sawyer County Record when required.  Notices on the website are here for your convenience.

We try to keep information on this website up to date. However, the information on the website is not all inclusive and is changed from time to time.  Certain activities in the town are regulated by federal law and state law as well as county or local ordinances.  We encourage you to contact the Zoning Administrator before making any improvements on your property, before doing work within 75 feet of any shoreline, engaging in logging operations or placing of signs.  Such activities may require a permit or may be prohibited.  We are here to help you.

Please take a look at the selected ordinances that are listed.  We want you to enjoy your time in our town, but we also want you to be aware of the fact that there are boating and ATV use ordinances is in effect.   Our Town Clerk can also help direct you to other ordinances regulating matters in the town.
